The Church of the Nazarene is the largest denomination in the classical Wesleyan-Holiness tradition. Nazarenes believe that God calls Christians to a life of holiness marked by an act of God, cleansing the heart of original sin, and filling the individual with love for God and humanity.

Our Articles of Faith represent our core beliefs and contain the foundational truths that guide every aspect of our practice.

Mission

OUR BELIEFS

We believe in one God — Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

We believe that the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments, given by plenary inspiration,

they contain all the truth necessary for the Christian faith and life.

We believe that the human being is born with a fallen nature and,

therefore, he is continually inclined to evil.

We believe that those who remain unrepentant until

the end are eternally lost and without hope.

We believe that the atonement through Jesus Christ is for the entire human race;

and that everyone who repents and believes in the Lord Jesus Christ is justified,

regenerated and saved from the dominion of sin.

We believe that believers are to be sanctified wholly,

subsequent to regeneration, through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

We believe that the Holy Spirit bears witness to the new birth

and also of the entire sanctification of believers.

We believe that our Lord will return,

that the dead will rise and that the final judgment will take place.
